Tonight, Tuesday at 8:00 on WETA UK, begin the royal adventure that is Queen's Palaces with episode one, "Buckingham Palace". Buckingham Palace is one of the most famous buildings in the world, but its story is much less familiar. Fiona Bruce reveals how England's most spectacular palace emerged from a swampy backwater in just 300 years.

Wednesday, continue the regal experience with the first hour of Queen and Country, “London, Royal City” at 8:00pm. London is known as the capital of Britain's royal life. A young Princess Elizabeth grew up here before World War II where she and her sister, Margaret, mingled, incognito, with the joyous crowds on VE Day. Today, it is still the center of a working monarchy. Trevor McDonald reports on the tradition of Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace and visits Horseguards to meet the man who is in charge of the troops who guard the queen.

Thursday at 8:00pm, get wild with David Attenborough’s Life of Mammals, “A Winning Design”. David Attenborough investigates why mammals are the most successful creatures on the planet. Travel to Australia and South America on WETA UK to study the lives of marsupials and mammals such as humans, who develop their young in wombs rather than pouches.  Learn more about the iconic natural history film maker: David Attenborough.

Friday night find Brit humor with Doc Martin at 8:00. In the episode “Erotomania”, Mark Mylow comes in for his medical checkup and Martin is concerned at one particular aspect of his physiology. Combined with fiancée Julie's big news, this could mean some bumps in the road as far as their relationship is concerned. Martin and Louisa have a heart to heart talk and, in his cups, he tells her exactly how he feels.

Saturday, keep the togas flowing with the next three hours of The WETA UK Event: I, Claudius beginning at 8:00pm: “Poison is Queen”, “Some Justice”, and “Queen of Heaven” continue this dramatic tale. Pre-game with this excellent character guide from our friends at KCET, the public television station that serves Southern and Central California. Be sure to print your copy of the Claudian family tree and read the episode recaps!

Sunday, feel free to laugh at the Minister as we continue with the very first series of Yes, Minister at 8:00pm. In episode two, “The Official Visit”, the Minister has a plan to turn an official visit by the President of Buranda to party political advantage. The Permanent Secretary dislikes the plan, especially when it precipitates an unforeseen crisis.
