Episode 1 “A Caribbean Mystery” airs Sunday September 21 at 8pm
While staying at a lavish tropical island hotel, Miss Marple investigates the sudden death of a fellow guest. With the help of a curmudgeonly business tycoon, Miss Marple unravels a web of deceit, murder and "dark magic," leaving her to consider every one of the hotel's guests as a suspect. Episode 2 “Greenshaw’s Folly” airs Sunday September 21 at 9:30pm
When an old family friend and her young son turn to Miss Marple for assistance, she places them at nearby Greenshaw's Folly, the family home of an eccentric botanist. But it becomes clear that the labyrinthine Folly isn't quite the safe house that Miss Marple had hoped, when death casts its dark and sinister shadow on the residents.

Episode 3 “Endless Night” airs Sunday September 28 at 9pm
Miss Marple befriends a charming working-class chauffeur who recounts his romance with an American heiress. Despite being warned off by an elusive gypsy woman, they plan their dream home at a local spot known as Gypsy's Acre. Not long after the young couple is wed, a tragic death fuels speculation of a gypsy curse. When two suspicious deaths follow, Miss Marple begins to sort out the clues, but can she solve the mystery before she finds herself in danger?

This Week on WETA UK: September 8-14

Monday at 9pm kick off season 7 of Midsomer Murders with “The Green Man”. Sgt. Troy sadly leaves the Midsomer team in this episode, though not before having to cope with some dramatic events. Troy wins a promotion to inspector but before he can decide on his future, the Midsomer canal tunnel collapses during a restoration project, revealing ancient human bones with a recent skeleton hidden among them. As Barnaby investigates, Troy is sent to the woods near Midsomer Worthy where Tom, has been attacked by a group of youths. Then one of the teenagers is caught in a man trap and shot dead. Is Tom responsible?

Tuesday at 8pm tune in for Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries “Murder a la Mode”. When Phryne arrives at the exclusive fashion house of Madame Fleuri for a fitting, she unexpectedly finds herself amidst a crime scene, and everyone present is a suspect!

Wednesday at 10:30pm Masterpiece Mystery! Inspector Lewis continues season 3 with “Falling Darkness”. It's Halloween in Oxford and Ligeia Willard, one of Hobson's old college housemates, is found dead. It seems to be a terrible coincidence, one that has left Hobson disoriented with grief. When another murder takes place in a house where Hobson once lived, Detective Inspector Lewis and Detective Sergeant Hathaway must confront horrifying possibilities.

Thursday at 8pm Fawlty Towers begins season 2 with “Communications Problems”. A delightfully manic British comedy about an ill-mannered innkeeper, created by and starring `Monty Python' alum John Cleese and his then-wife, Connie Booth. The police are called when a guest loses a sum of money.

Friday at 9pm catch “Gently with Class” an Inspector George Gently episode. The indefatigable Chief Inspector Gently and Detective Sergeant Bacchus experience the inflated authority of their ‘social betters’ first hand, when a beautiful young girl called Ellen Mallam is found dead in the passenger seat of a an upturned car registered to local aristocrats.

Saturday at 9pm Masterpiece Classic begins season 4 of Downton Abbey. Six months after Downton Abbey's great tragedy, Mary is mired in grief and the estate is engulfed in death taxes. As the family struggles to lift their financial and emotional woes, clashes arise, sparks fly, and it is up to the older generation to bring Mary back to life, and Robert to his senses – no easy task in either respect. Another departure leaves no tears in its wake, but rather opportunity for new faces – and drama, alliances, and sparks of an entirely different sort – below stairs.

Sunday from 8-9pm catch two back-to-back episodes of Blandings. In “Sticky Wicket at Blandings” Connie is trying to impress Colonel Fanshawe, but Beach is behaving very oddly indeed. Then in “Necessary Rhino” Connie encourages Hannibal Didcot to propose to wealthy American Vanessa Polk.

This Week on WETA UK: August 25-31

Monday at 6pm watch Ashes to Ashes episode 1. Swapping the Ford Cortina for an Audi Quattro, DCI Gene Hunt rolls up his sleeves and embraces the Eighties in the sequel to the critically acclaimed series Life on Mars.

Tuesday at 10:30pm Rumpole of the Bailey begins season 7. Alleged Satanists enlist Rumpole's help after their daughter is placed in a social worker's care, while dance-shy Hilda frets over an upcoming ball and her birthday.

Wednesday at 12:30pm My Family restarts from episode 1! This show is a domestic sitcom following the fortunes of Ben and Susan Harper and their children, starring Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker.

Thursday at 1pm MI-5 begins from episode one titled: “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. An MI5 source passes on information that 20 bombs have gone astray between Ireland and the UK. Within minutes a car bomb explodes, instantly killing a female doctor and fatally injuring her daughter as they set off on the school run. On discovering the doctor and her husband are family planning doctors, MI5 begin looking at the possibility of a pro-life terrorist.

Friday at 10:30pm watch season 3 episode 1 of Masterpiece Mystery! Sherlock: “The Empty Hearse”. Sherlock is not dead: this much we know. But how did he survive his leap off the roof of St. Bart’s Hospital? There are many theories, but none of them matter to John Watson, who is less concerned with how his friend survived than with why his friend didn’t let him know he was alive. His brother Mycroft warns that John has moved on with his life is true, will Sherlock have to accept a new reality and a new partner?

Saturday at 6:30pm catch two back-to-back episodes of Doc Martin. In “The Holly Bears a Prickle” Doc Martin and Louisa are finally going on their first date. However, in typical fashion, the clumsy doctor manages to ruin the moment with an inappropriate remark. Then in “Nowt So Queer” Portwenn is buzzing with the news of the engagement of Dr. Martin Ellingham and Headmistress Louisa Glasson and mushrooms are the cause of an outbreak of aspergillosis in the village.

Sunday from 4pm-6pm watch the two-part Foyle’s War mystery “Invasion”. American GIs arrive in Hastings to a mixed welcome and Foyle is called on to calm the locals. But his attempts at soothing relations are jeopardized when a barmaid's involvement with a visiting soldier leads to murder, leaving the detective to defy orders to keep the peace and solve the case.

Monday at 10:30pm tune in for Masterpiece Mystery! Zen: Ratking. Zen's boss Moscati has been replaced by the stern Ernesto Heuber who loathes Zen. The head of the powerful Miletti family has been kidnapped and the family's lawyer, Francesco Pirotta, was murdered when paying the ransom. Because paying ransom is illegal in Italy, the Ministry wants the kidnapping and the ransom kept secret.

Tuesday at 8pm on Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries “Death Comes Knocking” Phyrne's Aunt Prudence is caught up in the new spiritualist craze and recruits a famed psychic to contact her dead godson.

Wednesday 1pm-5pm catch your favorite contemporary British crime dramas MI-5 (1pm), New Tricks (2pm), Waking the Dead (3pm), Hustle (4pm). You can watch these programs any weekday at the same time.

Thursday at 9pm don’t miss Masterpiece Classic: Upstairs, Downstairs season 2 “The Love That Pays the Price”. A formal party is planned at 165 Eaton Place where Sir Hallam Holland receives an unexpected and serious offer – one that could significantly alter life for everyone at Eaton Place. Also, Mrs. Thackeray, the cook, has reconnected with family, opening up the prospect for a different life

Friday at 10:30pm season 2 of Masterpiece Mystery! Sherlock concludes with the episode “The Reichenbach Fall”. The media love Sherlock Holmes and his friend John Watson. Meanwhile, Sherlock's arch-nemesis, the criminal mastermind Moriarty, emerges from the shadows and into the spotlight with a menacing vow and a cat-and-mouse game conceived entirely for the object of his obsession.

Saturday at 8pm Call the Midwife season 2 continues. The community prepares for the annual summer fête, which is slated to feature a baby show with a celebrity judge. Also, Jenny meets an impoverished mother of eight who fears that she may soon have another mouth to feed.

Sunday at 10pm Ashes to Ashes season 1 kicks off. When DI Alex Drake is shot and lands in 1981, she comes face-to-face with DCI Gene Hunt, the relic of old-fashioned policing she read about in Sam Tyler’s reports. Alex thinks she is in a coma and needs Hunt’s help to go after Layton, the man who shot her in 2008. She is confident she knows the rules of the game, but with no contact from the outside world Alex has to contend with a terrifying possibility.

Monday at 8pm Pie in the Sky begins season 3 with “Money Talks”. Henry is leading a stake-out of a pizza parlor whose delivery drivers are suspected of robbing customers though Fisher doubts its cost effectiveness.

Tuesday at 11:30pm Hustle begins season 5. After a close brush with the law in Australia, Mickey returns to a changed London to sting a new breed of avaricious marks. Albert, currently detained at her Majesty’s pleasure, already has one lined up – a callous young businesswoman Sara Naismith and her assistant Aaron. Posing as city traders, Mickey and Ash offer her the chance to join an insider dealing scam.

Wednesday at 9pm Masterpiece Mystery! Endeavour: Series I: "Rocket". A royal visit by Princess Margaret to an Oxford munitions factory may exclude the unwelcome Endeavour Morse, but even Chief Superintendent Bright's highest security cannot exclude murder.

Thursday at 10pm Reilly: Ace of Spies episode 2 “Prelude to War”. Autumn, 1904: intelligence from Reilly in Port Arthur enables the Japanese Navy to sink the Russian Pacific Squadron. Margaret Reilly has an affair with Greenberg and leaves her husband. Then Reilly is seized by the Russians.

Friday at 8pm Rosemary and Thyme take on “In a Monastery Garden”. Wellminster Cathedral is preparing for a Royal visit and the Custos have asked Rosemary and Laura to restore the old monastery "physik" garden to mark the cathedral's millennium. But someone is not happy about the ladies working on the herb garden, and when the Custos' daughter Trish is found murdered there, the two women realize they could be in serious danger.

Saturday afternoon watch WETA UK’s two classic detectives back-to-back! At 1:0pm Agatha Christie’s Poirot “The Third Floor Flat”. Then at 2:30pm Sherlock Holmes dissects “The Cardboard Box”.

Sunday at 9pm BBC action-drama Robin Hood makes its WETA UK primetime premiere with episode 1, “Will You Tolerate This?” Robin of Locksley heads home from the Crusades to find his people starving and brutalized under the tyrannical rule of the new Sheriff. He quickly discovers that the only way to reason with this Sheriff is with bow and arrow – even if it means sacrificing his title and his lands and consigning himself to life in the forest.

This Week on WETA UK: August 4-10

Monday at 9pm catch the first mystery in season 6 of Midsomer Murders: “A Talent for Life”. Isobel Hewitt is an affluent pensioner with a young lover. Duncan Golf is a GP in the Village of Malham Bridge who is rumored to be having an affair. When the corpses of Isobel and Duncan are discovered by the river alongside one another, Barnaby and Troy embark on an investigation which uncovers a deep vein of resentment running through the village.

Tuesday at 8pm Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries season 1 concludes with “King Memses’ Curse”. In the season 1 finale, Murdoch Foyle remains at large and appears connected to the mysterious death of an antique dealer, and Phryne discovers Foyle is involved in a bizarre cult that believes in reincarnation.

Wednesday at 9am enjoy “The Great Leap Forward”, the first episode in season 4 of Born and Bred. Deborah and Donald are setting up a ʻwalking blood bankʼ, aiming to blood-type everyone in the village before Tom arrives back from New Zealand.

Thursday at 8:30pm tune in for the WETA UK premiere of Rev. Rev. Adam Smallbone is a Church of England Vicar, newly promoted from a sleepy rural parish to the busy, inner-city world of St. Saviour's in Hackney, East London. It's a world he has no experience of and it shows. Alex - Adam's long-suffering wife - does her best to support him, but she's got her own career as a solicitor to worry about. Anybody can and does come into St. Saviour's: from scheming MPs trying to educate their children on the cheap to Colin, a heavy drinking, unemployable lost soul.

Friday at 9pm Inspector George Gently begins his second season with “Gently Evil”. When the dead body of a young woman turns up, Gently and Bacchus investigate and initially suspect her estranged husband of the murder. But closer examination uncovers a disturbed family with some unsettling secrets.

Saturday at 10am Doctor Who David Tennant steps into the role of the Doctor for the second series. Then at 11am Red Dwarf kicks off season 2 with Better Than Life, the new virtual reality game sensation sweeping the solar system. Just dream and pleasure will be yours! Tuesday at 11am BallykissAngel begins from the very first episode! Ballykissangel is a village nestling in the lush green mountains of County Wicklow, in the heart of the Irish countryside. Here, life revolves around the local Catholic Church and its rival, the local bar. When Father Peter Clifford arrives from Manchester, he knows he will be facing some opposition. After all, what is a young, inexperienced English priest doing in Ireland, of all places?

Wednesday at 11:30pm tune in for the classic comedy The Benny Hill Show. The delightfully outrageous British comedian headlines a slapstick sketch series, an unapologetic throwback to burlesque traditions.

Friday at 8pm Rosemary and Thyme take on the mystery of "The Italian Rapscallion". On a tour of Giardini Tremonti, will one of their party, Janice Alexander, is found dead. A second death occurs, but can they stop the killer before another loses their life?

Saturday at 9am tune in for the popular British show Primeval. When a young paintball player is attacked by a saber-toothed tiger at an adventure holiday park, it seems that the new anomaly detector has failed. However, Cutter begins to suspect a conventional explanation – and Connor disgraces himself.

This Week on WETA UK: July 21-27

Monday at 9pm season 3 of Midsomer Murders begins with two back-to-back episodes! 9pm-10:30pm “Dead Man’s Eleven” DCI Barnaby’s plans to move to the village of Fletcher’s Cross are disrupted when the wife of a landowner is bludgeoned to death with a cricket bat while out walking her dog in the village of Midsomer Worthy. Then at 10:30pm-12am in “Death of a Stranger”, DCI Barnaby returns from a holiday in France to discover an unidentified tramp has been beaten to death in the woods near the village of Marshwood.

Tuesday at 2pm New Tricks season 2 begins with the first episode “A Delicate Touch”. The group’s desire to solve each case is as strong as ever. Working as part of the Unsolved Crime and Open Cases Squad (UCOS) and lead by Pullman who spends half her time trying reign them in, the three men investigate an array of challenging and disturbing crimes. Will they succeed where others have failed? Or will the burden of all the years begin to weigh down on them?

Wednesday at 9pm tune in for Masterpiece Mystery! Endeavour. Set in 1965, the Inspector Morse prequel Endeavour finds rookie constable Endeavour Morse helping with the investigation into the murder of a 15-year-old girl.

Thursday at 10pm Dalziel and Pascoe begin to investigate a new mystery “Truth and Concequences”. A skeleton is unearthed in the former mining town of Thirksby. The discovery revives unwelcome memories for Dalziel, who was stationed there during the miners’ strike of 1984-85.The conflict was bitter and even now policemen are not welcome. Tune in next Thursday at 10pm for part 2.

Friday at 10:30pm catch the third and final episode of Masterpiece Mystery! Sherlock season 1! In “The Blind Banker” Holmes and Watson investigate a bank break-in that resulted in nothing stolen, but strange graffiti left behind. The case leads to the discovery of a dead banker inside his locked flat that the police, though not Holmes, suspect was a suicide. In other matters, Watson applies for a part-time job and goes on a date, though---thanks to Holmes---the evening doesn't go as planned.

Saturday at 8pm Call the Midwife season 2 opens with Jenny Lee's birthday. The next day she takes on a new patient who's involved in an abusive relationship. In other events, Trixie and Sister Evangelina board a Swedish cargo ship to care for the captain's daughter, who's about to have her first baby.

Sunday at 10am begin season 6 of Monarch of the Glen. It’s a new era for Glenbogle, as Paul sets about making his mark by attempting to modernize the estate. However, while his intentions are honorable, his dismissive attitude towards the estate’s long-held traditions causes him to clash with Golly.
