Preview the Sherlock Series 2 Finale, “The Reichenbach Fall”

Sherlock s2 Cast 001.jpg
Viewers in the UK are watching the Series 2 finale of Sherlock tonight, and while we have to wait a bit longer (112 days! Not that I am counting or anything!) for the new episodes to air here in America, that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a little taste of what’s coming for ourselves.

The Reichenbach Fall  is written by Steve Thompson, who wrote Series 1 episode The Blind Banker. Based on the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story The Final Problem, this episode features the return of Sherlock’s nemesis Moriarty.  Click through for a look at BBC’s trailer for the finale, set to haunting song “Sinnerman” by Nina Simone, as well as a new scene from the episode, courtesy of a recent talk show appearance by star Martin Freeman.

Word to the wise: if you don’t know the plot of The Final Problem  or you’ve never heard of Reichenbach? Don’t google it.

Lacy's love of British TV is embarrassingly extensive, but primarily centers around evangelizing all things Doctor Who, and watching as many period dramas as possible.

Digital media type by day, she also has a fairly useless degree in British medieval literature, and dearly loves to talk about dream poetry, liminality, and the medieval religious vision. (Sadly, that opportunity presents itself very infrequently.) York apologist, Ninth Doctor enthusiast, and unabashed Ravenclaw. Say hi on Threads or Blue Sky at @LacyMB.
