The recent release of X-Men sequel Days of Future past has, predictably, given us all a bevy of interviews with its star-studded, British actor heavy cast to enjoy over the past few weeks.

This is by far the best one. By far.

In this clip, taken from a pair of junket interviews with Yahoo! TV, stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, who play the younger versions of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr (better known as Magneto) sat down with acting legends Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, who play the older versions of the same characters and the pairs interview each other.

The result is entirely delightful, and features both sets of X-Men counterparts doing impressions of each other, along with several references to Star Trek and The Lord of the Rings. The only negative here is that the clip’s not longer.

Watch for yourselves below:

I am in no way kidding when I say that this video made my whole day.  They are all perfect.

What wonderful gentlemen this lot seems to be – here’s hoping the four of them manage to work together again in future in various permutations.

Have any of you seen Days of Future Past? (I did, and quite loved it!)

Lacy's love of British TV is embarrassingly extensive, but primarily centers around evangelizing all things Doctor Who, and watching as many period dramas as possible.

Digital media type by day, she also has a fairly useless degree in British medieval literature, and dearly loves to talk about dream poetry, liminality, and the medieval religious vision. (Sadly, that opportunity presents itself very infrequently.) York apologist, Ninth Doctor enthusiast, and unabashed Ravenclaw. Say hi on Threads or Blue Sky at @LacyMB.
