Amazing Internet Things: Sherlock vs. Doctor Who: The Musical

My ever-expanding personal “Wholock” obsession means that I watch a lot of random videos on the internet about two of my favorite topics: Sherlock and Doctor Who. Generally this newfound hobby results in lots of disappointment, but every so often you end up finding some real gems, as I’ve highlighted before.

This particular amazing internet thing actually comes to us straight from the Twitter of the man himself, executive producer Steven Moffat. Click through to see some truly creative video editing from YouTube user Lilsakee, in a clip which pits Sherlock vs. the Doctor, set to the tune of “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun. It’s pretty much guaranteed to leave you with a serious case of the giggles.

And don’t worry for those concerned about spoilers – while there are a couple of shots from Series 2 in this clip, it doesn’t give anything away about the new season!

Is there anyone out there that doesn't think this is pretty much exactly what would happen if these two characters ever actually met?

Lacy's love of British TV is embarrassingly extensive, but primarily centers around evangelizing all things Doctor Who, and watching as many period dramas as possible.

Digital media type by day, she also has a fairly useless degree in British medieval literature, and dearly loves to talk about dream poetry, liminality, and the medieval religious vision. (Sadly, that opportunity presents itself very infrequently.) York apologist, Ninth Doctor enthusiast, and unabashed Ravenclaw. Say hi on Threads or Blue Sky at @LacyMB.
