Take a Look at the Third Season of ‘Morse’ Prequel ‘Endeavour’

Mystery lovers, rejoice: Endeavour is back for a third season!

The new series of the popular Inspector Morse prequel kicked off in the UK this month although those of us in the US will have to wait a few months to see it for ourselves.

Shaun Evans is back as the young detective Endeavour Morse, who was last seen isolated and languishing in prison, after being framed for the murder of Chief Constable Richard Standish. He had discovered corruption at the very heart of the City Force, but his investigation (obviously) took something of a sinister turn.  Meanwhile, when we last saw Endeavour’s partner, DI Fred Thursday (played by Roger Allam), he had just been shot in the chest. So, you know, there’s kind of a lot going on.

Production is Under Way on ‘Endeavour’ Season 3

Get excited fans of young Endeavour Morse! UK network ITV confirmed that Season 3 of Inspector Morse prequel series Endeavour officially began production last week.

Star Shaun Evans is back as young Morse, but who exactly will be returning with him after the shocking and tragic events at the end of Season 2?

Last we all saw, Endeavour Morse was isolated and in prison, framed for the murder of Chief Constable Rupert Standish and his partner, DI Fred Thursday, had been shot in the chest.

The detective series will return with four new episodes, and will pick up following the shocking events at the end of Series 2, which concluded with Morse in police custody, framed for a crime he didn’t commit, while his partner DCI Thursday seemed close to death after being shot in the chest.

The third series will once again by written by Lewis creator and Morse scribe Russell Lewis, and will apparently be set in 1967.
