Amazing Internet Things: Jimmy Fallon Presents “Downton Sixbey”

Honestly, can there ever be too many Downton Abbey interent parodies? Of course not! And just when you thought nothing could be as good as the “Downton Arby’s” send-up from a couple of weeks ago, here comes late night host Jimmy Fallon, doing his best to change your mind with his spoof on the popular British costume drama called “Downton Sixbey.”

The series’ title is a reference to Studio 6B, where Fallon tapes Late Night, and the clip chronicles the behind-the-scenes lives of those who put on the talk show, which bears a striking resemblance to a certain Edwardian great house.

Plus, Brooke Shields shows up. It’s hilarious. Click through and have a look for yourself.

Amazing Internet Things: Doctor Who Visualized as an RPG

This is one of those Amazing Internet Things that is so fantastic, you’ll actually be sad that it’s not real.

In this fabulous video, Doctor Who is done up as a 16-bit Super Nintendo-style RPG, complete with fishfingers and custard, time travel shenanigans, Weeping Angels, leveling up, and so many wonderful in-jokes that you probably will want to watch the entire last two seasons over again as soon as you can. (I felt like that. It’s totally normal.)

A Quick Warning: This video thoroughly spoils the plot for Seasons 5 and 6 of Doctor Who (a.k.a. the Matt Smith Years So Far). If you’re still catching up, bookmark this for later, mostly because it’s really ever so much funnier if you’ve seen all of the episodes this video covers. So, with that said, click through and have a look for yourself!

Amazing Internet Things: Welcome to Downton Arby’s

It doesn’t look like the trend of Downton Abbey parodies is slowing down anytime soon, which is really just a bonus for those of us that are fans of the show, because they just keep getting better and better. (I sincerely hope these things just keep coming from now until Series 3 screens. I will happily watch all of them!)

This latest bit of Downton fun is a wonderfully clever send up from the folks behind Yahoo’s new series of sketch comedy shorts that transplants the Edwardian drama into the world of fast food franchises. Lord Grantham must find a prospective son-in-law to marry one of his daughters so that the family’s Arby’s restaurant won’t get shut down by Corporate. Hilarity ensues.

Click through and take a look for yourself! The opening shot is priceless and this clip’s take on Thomas and O’Brien is spot-on. All in all, you'll probably be surprised by how funny this actually is - this premise shouldn't work nearly as well as it does. But it's hilarious!
