If you watch more than one British television show, then you probably know you’ll be seeing at the stars of one of them make an appearance on the other at some point. That joke about there being only ~12 working actors in all of the United Kingdom exists for a reason – seeing familiar faces pop up on other British properties is basically part of the fun of being a fan.

So, everyone should be pretty excited (but not that surprised) to learn that super popular actor David Suchet has booked a guest role in Doctor Who Season 10. Of course, in the grand tradition of Doctor Who, there are virtually no details available about Suchet’s character, other than the fact that he goes by the name of The Landlord and will appear in an episode written by playwright Mike Bartlettwho also penned the award-winning King Charles III.

Keeley Hawes to Guest Star on ‘Doctor Who’ in Series 8

With filming underway on Series 8 of Doctor Who, more and more details about Peter Capaldi’s inaugural turn in the TARDIS are starting to emerge. We already know that Samuel Anderson is set to have what looks to be a fairly significant guest role as a colleague (and potential new secondary travelling partner possibly?) of current companion Jenna Coleman.

Now the BBC has announced that Upstairs Downstairs and MI-5 star Keeley Hawes is set for a guest role in the new season. She’ll be playing a character called Ms. Delphox, who is described as “a powerful out of this world character with a dark secret”. She is also interestingly enough, a banker, because obviously that’s what we all think of immediately when it comes to Doctor Who villains.
