We’re deep in the middle of Season 3 of Poldark, which has featured all kinds of drama, ranging from star-crossed love affairs to daring rescues to blackmail to political machinations.

(In short: This season is really quite good, if you didn’t know.)

So, to celebrate the drama’s extremely compelling third season, we made a brand new character quiz that’s meant to determine your Poldarkian alter ego.

Take Our 'Victoria' Personality Quiz!

The first season of period drama Victoria is drawing to a close. The season finale will air on PBS stations nationwide on Sunday, March 5.

But don’t worry. That’s not going to be the end of the story. Not by a long shot. The show was renewed for a second season last Fall and production has already started on the new episodes. Plus, it’ll get a bonus Christmas special later this year. If all goes according to series creator Daisy Goodwin’s plan, we’ll be seeing a lot more of this story over the next few years.

We’re far from finished in the world of Queen Victoria’s court.

To celebrate the drama’s successful – and, honestly, super entertaining – first season, we made a brand new character quiz that’s meant to determine your alter ego from the world of Victoria

Miss Fisher Personality Quiz Result: You are Phryne Fisher

Take Our ‘Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries’ Personality Quiz!

The third season of popular drama Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries arrived in America this Fall courtesy of local public television stations all over the country and Netflix’s popular streaming service.

To the surprise of no one, Season 3 is full of all the things that fans of the show already love: witty banter, thoughtful mysteries, compelling relationships and – of course – gorgeous fashions.

So to celebrate the show that’s become a mega popular topic on the blog over the past year – seriously, this post is still going and Season 3 is actually airing now – we made a brand new character quiz that’s mean to determine your alter ego from 1920s Melbourne.

Are you more of a Phryne or a Jack? Or maybe a Dot or a Hugh?

Who Would You Be in the World of ‘Wolf Hall’? Take Our Tudor Personality Quiz

Are you obsessed with Tudor drama Wolf Hall?

Spoiler alert: I am. Mark Rylance is a wonder and somehow even though the story of King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and Thomas Cromwell isn’t exactly what you’d call new the way the drama is structured makes it feel fresh. And, let’s be honest, what really draws people to this story – think about how many versions of the six wives of Henry VII you’ve heard or seen before – is that the characters in it are just really compelling. The fact that they were all actual people is just the icing on the cake.

And, whether you’ve always harbored a secret desire to be Anne Boleyn, Thomas Cromwell or King Henry himself – well, we’re here for you. Check out our brand new personality quiz based on the real life cast of Wolf Hall, and see where you belong at Tudor Court.

Take Our 'The Paradise' Personality Quiz!

The Paradise Season 2 is officially underway and subsequently, we’ve all been transported back into all the Victoria-era relationship drama we can handle.

The lavish department store-based series is definitely upping its game in Season 2, adding in new faces, more complicated relationships, and a fairly involved plot to return The Paradise to its original owner.

To celebrate the return of the show that’s proven to be one of the most popular topics on the blog over the past year – seriously, this post is still going, and it’s been more than a year, and new episodes are actually on-air now – we put together a new character quiz that’s mean to determine where you’d belong in the The Paradise.

Are you more of a Denise or a Katherine? Or maybe a Moray or a Jonas?

Take Our 'Doc Martin' Personality Quiz!

Fans everywhere love quirky British comedy Doc Martin – it’s consistently one of our most popular series around here – because it’s packed with great actors and interesting, layered characters.

Series 6 of this beloved series is currently airing on many PBS stations around the country (and if it’s not yet, it probably will be soon!) and, to celebrate, we put together a little character quiz based on a handful of our favorite Portwenn characters past and present.

Celebrate the Premiere of 'The Hollow Crown': Take Our Quiz Inspired by Shakespeare’s Henriad!

Highly anticipated Shakespeare mini-series The Hollow Crown premieres September 20 on Great Performances and – to the surprise of no one, mostly likely – we’ve got more than a few fans of this production (and the Bard, generally) around the office here. The series assembles four of Shakespeare’s most famous history plays - Richard II; Henry IV, Part I; Henry IV, Part Two; and Henry V – into a single chronological narrative, and stars such notable British thespians as Ben Whishaw, Jeremy Irons, Tom Hiddleston, Rory Kinnear, Michelle Dockery, Patrick Stewart, David Suchet and (a lot) more.

(If, for some reason, you’ve not heard of this production before, take a second to watch the UK and US trailers – and then cancel whatever plans you had for the weekend.)

To celebrate the launch of this highly anticipated drama, we put together a little character quiz based on some of the main figures featured in Shakespeare’s Henriad (that’s the fancy name for this particular quartet of plays). So if you’ve ever wondered whether you’re more a Richard II or a Hotspur, well, now’s your chance to find out.

Test Your Knowledge of London’s Famous East End with Our New Quiz!

London’s East End neighborhood has developed quite a reputation over the years – this area has been famous (infamous?) for everything from being the location of the gruesome Jack the Ripper murders to the setting for the 2012 Summer Olympics. It’s also faced bombings, economic depression and social upheaval for much of its history. In short, it’s one of the most interesting areas in the city from a historical perspective.

And, since this is ostensibly a British entertainment blog, it’s worth mentioning just how many times the East End has shown up as the setting for all sorts of television shows, from the classic Till Death Do Us Part to current hit Call the Midwife. But, fellow Anglophiles, for all the times you’ve probably seen or read about this area, how much do you really know about London's East End? Try your hand at our trivia quiz and find out!

Amazing Internet Things: A Very British Quiz on a Very American Holiday

Happy Fourth of July to us Americans! Hope everyone has a safe and happy celebration today, whatever your plans are. I wondered a bit about what I should post today, but ultimately decided - what would be a more appropriate post on this very American holiday than an exceptionally British edition of Amazing Internet Things?

While we may have rejected the monarchy on this day in history, it's certainly true that we're still fascinated by the British Royals and Royal traditions to this day. (As evidenced by the huge ratings for things like William and Kate's wedding last year.) So, why not head on over and take the British Royal Family Quiz at PBS.org and see how much you really know about the Windsors and their history. It’s a pretty simple quiz – and to be honest, it won’t challenge the serious Royal enthusiasts among you too greatly – but it’s pretty fun.

Plus who doesn’t want the validation of being called a “Monarch”? (That was my score, by the way. And I'm apparently vain enough that I was super pleased about it!) Let me how you do!
