We Love You Guys

Happy Third Birthday, Telly Visions!

Today’s the day! Somehow our little British blog Telly Visions officially turns three years old today! It’s amazing to me that we’re already celebrating the third anniversary of this blog – I can’t believe that this much time has gone by since we got started dishing British television and film and all the other the other things that are pretty much essential to life for an Anglophile.

So here we are, 1,095 days and 989 blog posts later – and that’s so close to 1,000 posts I can’t believe it – and still going strong. And that’s all down to you guys for reading and commenting and being here. Thank you being part of our blog family!

A few highlights from our third year:

Happy Birthday, Telly Visions!

Yes, it’s true. Telly Visions officially turns two years old today! It’s kind of hard to believe that we’re already celebrating this blog’s second anniversary – it certainly doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. But, apparently that saying about time flying when you’re having fun is absolutely true.

Because 730 days and 618 posts later, here we are. And we certainly couldn’t be here without you. Thank you for being part of our blog family!

So sit back, and take a look at a few of our greatest hits, favorite things and big moments worthy of a highlight:

Happy New Year to All!

Happy New Year, Telly Visions readers! Wishing all of you all the best in 2012 – hoping you have a wonderful year, full of lots of love, laughter, and, of course, some really great British television.

Things I’m particularly looking forward to in the new year? New Sherlock obviously, as well as Downton Abbey’s return, new Absolutely Fabulous after a multiyear absence, and finally getting my teeth into Doc Martin to catch up and get myself ready for new episodes this Spring.

Other things I’m excited to try? The Fades, Merlin Series 4, finally having the time to get into Misfits Series 3, the BBC’s new Great Expectations, a new series of Doctor Who in the Fall, Julian Fellowes’ Titanic miniseries, a new series of Skins, Stella, more Poirot, another series of Upstairs Downstairs, Call the Midwife, Birdsong, and I imagine a bunch of other things I’ve managed to leave off this list or that I didn’t even know existed. If 2011 was anything to go by, the new year will doubtless bring us some fantastic programs, both new and familiar.

What are you most looking forward to in British TV in 2012?

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas, Telly Visions readers! If you’re celebrating of course – Happy Sunday and long weekend, if you’re not. Hope Santa brought you something outstanding!

And, while there’s an opportunity, we’d like to reiterate how happy and grateful that you’re all here with us, reading and commenting and tweeting. It’s the best present a girl could ask for really. Well, that and maybe those classic Doctor Who box sets I don’t own yet. But you guys are still better than that.

Looking forward to a really fantastic 2012 with all of you!
