Jenna Furtado is a rising senior at the George Washington University double-majoring in History and Anthropology, with a minor in Journalism and Mass Communications. She hails from Northern California, a place where towering trees and windy beaches are nothing but a ten minute drive away. D.C. has become a home away from home for her while attending university, both for its history and the myriad of delicious restaurants there. When she isn't writing or researching about history, Jenna loves to wander around Rock Creek Park, spend hours in the many museums in the area, and walk around the monuments at sunset. Obsessed with history from a young age, Jenna is dedicated to uncovering and promoting little known factoids of the storied history of the DMV area.
